Volunteer in the Book Store

Duties include greeting and engaging the public with great customer service, operating the cash register and credit card machine, stocking shelves, receiving phone calls, assisting customers with finding items, and processing incoming donations. Basic math skills to add up purchases and make change and a willingness to be helpful are desirable skills. Must be 18 years of age or over.

Shifts: Volunteer shift is either 10:00 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. or 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., Tuesday through Saturday.

Commitment: Flexible. We have volunteers that elect to work a set day/hour each week, and we have volunteers that fill in as-needed and as-available to cover open shifts. We will accept volunteers looking to earn school community service hours. Note: We are not able to accommodate court-appointed hours.

Volunteer in the Donation Center Annex

This position requires more specialized skills. Volunteers at the annex need to have knowledge of books, which will be used to inspect, sort, research, classify and value donated books. This is a physical job that is worked in our small annex trailer, where you will lift and move boxes of books. Volunteer to Help at Special Events

We always need extra hands to help set up, take down, and move the many boxes of materials we sell at each event. This is a great opportunity for our younger community members to earn some club and/or school community service hours!

We also need volunteers to staff tables, assist customers and help keep our tables stocked.
